Commencement of appointment of new Chief Justice, the Honourable Richard Niall

Further to the Supreme Court's announcement on 17 December 2024, we note the Honourable Richard Niall is officially commencing his appointment from today, 3 February 2025 as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Victoria

Chief Justice Niall succeeds Chief Justice Anne Ferguson and will be the third chair of the Judicial Commission Board. To learn more about the Commission's board, please visit our About Us page.
